lyrics
Stand and breathe
Storm I needed one for so long
I left town 'cause of the heat
Lies go well with the great escape of sunrise
Switchback, switchback
Not yet a derelict path
Switchback, switchback
Switch back to the one who knew how to love
Twisting and turning
Do you think of peace we're deserving
What can you do, hard for you
To be true, trust in anybody
Warped-synth pop music from Vienna artist Wandl that threads R&B-informed vocal melodies through layers of wavy electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 31, 2020
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
